It is the last day of April of the year 2023. The Internet is growing and more and more people are searching for a topic, service or product that is very close to yours. And where are you? Your social network does not appear in the search results. In fact, there are more people on the *Internet* than on the networks.
Social networks are the new television and a good source of traffic (if you use them well) but they have many limitations. If a person is curious about *you* they will search your profile on a website or on Google, and you want to make a good (excellent) first impression.
You keep saying "it's 2023" but you don't have a website
Let's start with you don't have a website and they're going to wonder why: “It's already 2023, you say you're a professional and you don't have a website? Wow, hihi.” And bye, there you stayed while they went to look for what you offered on Google.
What if you already have a website, say, from 2018, and you have not seen if it is slow and outdated? Google removes slow sites from search results, and for good reason: people jump off of them quickly and look for alternatives.
Your website is very nice and it runs pretty well (?) but is it optimized for mobile devices? 92% of people browse the Internet from their cell phones. You can have the most cinematic, glittery website that fails the test of https://pagespeed.web.dev It does not work.
local and global internet
-I only serve local clients and they speak well of me.- Pedro said while looking at his nails. -I don't need a website for everyone.
It seems beautiful to me. But the Internet has long wanted to be local. Example: in the year 2000 Google had already launched a domain for each country.
Have you ever searched for something like “burgers near me” in the search engine or on Google Maps? Google Maps is not for you to search for plane tickets. It's nice that you chat with people from another continent, but where you live you will support the local in the first place.
Of course you can serve a global audience, do it! Brutal!
… But you have a website to do it, right? Or do you think that outwardly you should not make an excellent first impression? They need very good reasons to choose who they can *NOT* approach locally.
free your time
-A lot of drama. I dance on TikTok and get a client.
You dance very nicely. Can you do it all the time? Don't you want to free up your time to do something else with your life? Because your website does not die 5 minutes after being a trend. It remains like a rock facing the sea.
-But, Diego, and then what do I do?
A lot of things can be done. If you already have a site, you can try to improve it, but you have to see. If you want to build a new one, let's see your needs. In any case, let's have a conversation. Write me.
-What types of websites can be made?
Let's see (ahem!)
- Informative (the most common, institutional, business...).
- Collection of donations.
- Forum/community wiki.
And if you want we make an app.
-Okay, but is your work good?
Sure, see what they say about my work and how they recommend it:
-Okay. I know what I want. Can you give me a quote?
I have one page dedicated to making quotes with all the details. Please come in and help yourself to what you like.
